辛辛那提市始建于1788年，位于美国俄亥俄州、印第安纳州、肯塔基州三州交界处，是俄亥俄州第二大城市，辛辛那提包括分属3州的7县，面积5,579平方公里，大辛城(Greater Cincinnati)拥有约200万人口。四季气候分明，平均气温1月0℃，7月24.5℃，曾被誉为全美最适合居住的20个城市之一。20世纪60年代以来，旧市区进行大规模改造。商业区围绕方廷广场分布，广场耸立着高48层的凯里夫大楼。广场南面是金融区，居民住宅分布在城市周围的岗丘上。辛辛那提拥有上千家餐厅，数家购物中心和酒店。城市多公园、绿地，风景优美，有“皇后城”之称。

辛辛那提交响乐团是美国TOP10交响乐团之一。辛辛那提博物馆与纽约博物馆、芝加哥博物馆齐名美国三大博物馆聚集地。辛辛那提同时也是世界网球公开赛的举办城市，全美著名的职业橄榄球队Bengals和棒球队Reds在美国家喻户晓。从主校区步行15分钟就可以到达全美最著称的辛辛那提动物园，驱车仅7分钟可到达风景美丽的俄亥俄河。学生平时还可以到离大学比较近的Kenwood, LudLow, Newport等商业街区悠闲购物，享受美食。

世界500强中总部设在辛辛那提的就有10家，比如宝洁、五三银行、梅西百货等。全市大约有400多家世界500强公司分支，是全美世界500强企，辛辛那提成为美国毕业生首选的城市之一。
